MX300 Designs And Benefits

For most golfers, finding the right set of Mizuno irons should be relatively straightforward. The better players find themselves under the spell of the sleek lines of the bladed MP line, while game-improvers - the aspiring golfers – are fall for the MX range while harboring dreams of one day becoming an MP player.
But what of the established player whose game neither fits the MX nor the MP range? This player strikes the ball better than an improver but maybe lacks the consistency of the low, single figure golfer drawn to the MP range. This player tends to shy away from the larger heads but still need some assistance when the centre of the clubface is proving somewhat elusive. This player's handicap says 13 but his head and heart define him as 7. In creating the Mizuno MX-300 Irons, Mizuno believes it has provided this poor lost soul with a refuge - and then some!
Mizuno set out to create a club that fits somewhere between a players iron and a game improvement iron, and from that idea came the Mizuno MX-300 Irons. To give you a better idea of the concept behind the Mizuno MX-300 Irons, think "a more forgiving MP iron." Yes, the workability and sleek appearance is still there, but so is a larger sweet spot, and a nearly invisible cavity. The Mizuno MX-300 Irons are made from the Grain Flow Forged, 1025E "Pure Select" mild carbon steel, which plays a big part in that feel that Mizuno fans adore. In conjunction with the Grain Flow Forging process, Modal Analysis was used to further perfect that sweet, buttery soft feel and sound at impact.

The Mizuno MX-300 Irons are in fact the successor to the MX-200 irons that were released in early 2009, and share some of the same design features. The Y-Tune Technology in the MX-200 has been updated in the new series and is now called Y-Tune Pro and is said to provide a much larger sweet spot, which further increases the forgiveness across the clubface. The Y-shaped channel in the cavity is visual evidence of the Y-Tune Pro Technology.
Mizuno have placed a lot of faith in the Mizuno MX-300 Irons and they have managed to successfully combine the forgiveness of the MX series with the forged feel and more compact head of the MP series. The Mizuno MX-300 Irons provides the best of both worlds, good forgiveness coupled with feel and workability. Anyone in the mid handicap range should definitely explore the MX-300 irons.
