Mizuno JPX AD Series Review

Mizuno has long been a competitor in the average golfer market with their JPX line. They have just announced the release of their new JPX AD line for 2010 which will be released right before the Golf Fair here in Japan. This line includes Mizuno JPX AD Driver, fairway wood and irons. Like many other golf manufacturers, Mizuno also moved away from the titanium face to a Maraging face on their GI irons which provide hot feel and very fast ball speeds. The JPX AD Driver Maraging face features a large pocket cavity and wide sole. JPX AD has a head design with high moment of inertia (MOI), and length of 46.5 inches which makes it firmer to hold. JPX line is an important product line for Mizuno, and it is made to bring easy swing for ultra-far distance. Compared with MP series that provide powerful explosive force, fast swing speed for single handicap golfers and professional players, JPX series are aimed at amateur golfers with slow swing rhythm and swing speed. “AD” in JPX AD means amazing distance which is the goal of Mizuno. Through the 46.5-inch length, QUAN JPX AD graphite shaft has distinctive bending amplitude on shaft vertex. Golfers can release their power freely and swing fast head speed effortless to increase flight distance effectively.

Mizuno JPX AD Fairway Wood also features Maraging steel to promote ball speed on impact. Its shallow head shape can achieve high trajectories. It not only has high forgiveness but also has crisp sound. It is easy for golfers to hit golf ball to a far distance, so it is especially fit for golfers who run for long distance. The ultra-long shaft of Mizuno JPX AD Irons also can bring far distance. From mid to short irons, all of them adopt cavity back construction with low and deep center of gravity, and their clubfaces adopt ultra-thin titanium material to enhance rebound performance for increased hitting distance. Mizuno JPX AD Irons bring higher rebound performance through face thinning design and effectively increase initial speed on impact through high-density Maraging clubface. The Round Wide sole is designed to provide lower and deeper CG for higher trajectories and longer carry.
