Mizuno MX300 Details

I'll be honest with you, I feel like I really need to throw everything I believed about irons in the "game improvement" category out the window. Quickly. The Mizuno MX-300 Irons changed my mind about what a game improvement iron should be and how a game improvement iron should feel. And this is coming from someone who thinks the constant Mizuno praise gets a little old sometimes.

Don't get me wrong, there is no doubt that Mizuno is one of the top iron makers on the market, and has been so for a while. Mizuno boasts eight different sets of irons in its 2009/2010 line up - both impressive and confusing, if you're unsure as to which category you fit. The MP range sits firmly at the 'better player' end of the market, with its forged blades and muscle backs, while the MX range has always covered the mid-market in terms of skill - mixture of forged and cast irons with varying levels of cavity and Mizuno MX-300 Irons head sizes.

While there has always been plenty of choice with Mizuno irons, there was never really a doubt into which category you fell. Now, however, the new Mizuno MX-300 Irons have a foot in both camps, plugging the gap nicely between the MP-52s and the MX-200s launched last year.

Pros: Finally, a game improvement iron that's forged! Crisp, clean lines with that well known "buttery soft" feel. Looking down on them at address screams confidence. Mizuno has given us a true game improvement iron that even low handicaps won't think twice about putting in their bag.
Cons: The amount of irons in Mizuno's 2010 line up can generate some confusion. There are nine different sets of irons in three different categories this year. Which ones will you choose?

Don't waste your time reading any more of this long winded review! Go out right now and pick up a set of the Mizuno MX-300 Irons. Need I say more?
Whether you're a better player looking for a little bit of extra forgiveness, or an improving player who's not quite sure blades are the next step, Mizuno MX-300 Irons offer an ideal mix of game improvement and game enhancement.
