Powerful MP59 Irons

If you asked a room full of golfers "Who makes the best irons?", Mizuno would be one of the most frequent answers. The company has developed a strong reputation in the industry and among golfers for making great irons because of its patented Grain Flow Forged process. And if you've ever hit a Mizuno before, you've felt the difference.
Mizuno, a leader in golf technology and innovation, today announced the launch of the Grain Flow Forged™ MP-59 irons with the next generation of their award winning forged Ti Muscle technology. The Mizuno MP-59 Irons feature a titanium insert forged into the center of the muscle, which provides cavity like forgiveness in a player's half cavity design.
Say hello to the new
Mizuno MP-59 Irons, the next generation of the company's award winning Ti Muscle Technology. The Mizuno MP-59 Irons are designed for the better player (between a 2-13 handicap) but don't be fooled by the rating. I had the chance to hit the MP-59s and thoroughly enjoyed my experience.
During the elaborate Grain Flow Forging process, 12 grams of pure Titanium material is forged into the muscle of the MP-59 to deliver a 5% larger Sweet Area compared to the MP-58, the iron which debuted Ti Muscle Technology, while taking home "Editor's Choice" in Golf Digest's 2010 Hot List. This provides the ideal amount of thickness behind the impact area for solid feel, while the higher density steel on the toe, heel, and sole provides a dramatic increase in perimeter weighting for enhanced playability. This design allows for an easier launch and more forgiveness due to both a lower Center of Gravity (COG) and larger sweet spot area. This revolutionary Ti Muscle technology maximizes feel and forgiveness, all in a compact players' head size.
The titanium muscle that first appeared on the MP-58 remains, but has been redesigned for the Mizuno MP-59 irons. The head looks slightly more compact at address, but there is still noticeably more forgiveness compared to the shallow cavity MP-53 models.
When placed up next to the new MP-69 blade, there is very little difference in topline. This will scare some, but there is more surface area on the Mizuno MP-59 Irons, which makes these look a fraction more forgiving.
Mizuno always deliver in the looks department. There are few sets of irons that will attract as much attention as these while sat in the bag.
Another beautiful Mizuno MP-59 Irons set from Mizuno.
We have always been big fans of the solid performance of the classic Dynamic Gold shaft by True Temper. They reward good swings with strong flights, which particularly help distance control.
