MP-59 Irons Review

The mizuno mp-59 irons, the next generation of Mizuno's award-winning Ti Muscle technology, delivers full-cavity forgiveness in a player's half-cavity design. During the elaborate Grain Flow Forging process, the pure titanium material is forged into the muscle of the mizuno mp-59 irons to deliver a 5% larger sweet area compared to the mp-58, the iron that debuted Ti Muscle technology while taking home "Editor's Choice" in Golf Digest's 2010 Hot List. The lightweight characteristics of the pure titanium allows for the ideal amount of thickness behind the impact area to deliver consistent solid feel while simultaneously providing a dramatic increase in perimeter weighting for enhanced playability. To date, only Mizuno's patented Grain Flow Forging process of the mizuno mp-59 irons can deliver this technological advancement that produces these amazing gains in forgiveness, all within a compact, traditional head shape.

Mizuno mp-59 irons feature Forged Ti Muscle.  This maintains thickness behind impact, for blade like workability – combined with forgiveness normally found in a cavity design.  The thickness of the mizuno mp-59 irons is provided by a lightweight Titanium insert, which is forged directly inside the club head for a one piece feel.  With weight saved from the middle portion of the club head, the MP-59 takes the characteristics of a full cavity design, with stability from off centre strikes.  The thicker material behind impact ensures that centre strikes are rewarded with a solid impact. The mizuno mp-59 irons's centre of gravity also remains close to the clubface - allowing ball strikers to produce controlled draws and fades.  The Mizuno mizuno mp-59 irons take the multi material concept further than its award winning predecessor.  With its Ti weight more central to the club head the mizuno mp-59 irons creates even greater stability from off centre strikes.  This increased stability allows for less offset to be used, improving the irons look at address.  A thinner top line and weightier sole is finished with a new sole grind developed with Mizuno’s Tour players through 2011.
