1 Mizuno MP 53 Irons
Diamond Muscle
Mizuno's own optical illusion, the compact MP-53 hides away a staggering level of forgiveness. Ticking all the boxes required to be an MP model, the Grain Flow Forged MP-53 has the head size, playing profile, and top line to please the most demanding shot-makers. Though the Diamond Muscle design and "V" shaped Milled Pocket Cavity ensure a surprising level of stability from off center hits. An innovative CNC milled Pocket Cavity removes 14 grams of weight which is strategically redistributed around the cavity to achieve the largest sweet area ever in an MP iron, without impacting its versatility. The MP-53's distinctive Diamond Muscle ensures that greater forgiveness is not achieved at the cost of workability or feel. Created using Mizuno's Harmonic Impact Technology and extensively tested on tour, Diamond Muscle was identified as the prime solution to fine tune the MP-53's sound at impact. In line with its quest to package big iron forgiveness into a more appealing head-size, the MP-53 also boasts a 360° grind to lessen the effective width of sole and top edge. The shorter irons taper into a design similar to the smaller MP-63, with precision and control taking priority. The MP-53 is Grain Flow Forged at Mizuno's exclusive Hiroshima facility for exceptional feel and distance control.

The MP-57™ irons are a crowning achievement in the evolution of MIZUNO's award-winning Grain Flow Forging® and Cut MuscleTM technologies. The Product Development team undertook the task of making the MP-57's the first MP iron with a Full Cavity, resulting in a significantly larger sweet area than any other iron in the history of the MP line. Along with increased forgiveness, the MP-57's produce a slightly higher ball flight in the long irons, and a mid trajectory in the scoring irons. They also deliver the solid feel and shot making ability that the MP iron player craves. Most importantly, the MP-57's achieve all these playing aspects, yet in a classic head profile that appeals to better players.
The ideal combination of solid feel and workability, with unbelievable forgiveness, make the MP-57s the most playable MP irons ever.

Introducing the new MP-58 irons with revolutionary Dual Muscle Titanium Technology. During the complex grain flow forging process, a high-tech titanium metal is forged into the outer muscle of the iron, which not only delivers the feel, workability and shape every MP player desires, but also takes playability in an MP iron to a whole new technological level. The MP-58 irons achieve the rare combination of a penetrating ball flight, increased MOI, and superior feel, all in the ultimate player's head shape.

The Mizuno Product Development team evolved the game changing Cut MuscleTM technology, to include FORGIVENESS in the MP-60TM, and once again accolades followed, with the MP-60 taking home "Testers' Top Pick" honors in Golf Magazine's Club Test 2006. The MP-60 Cut MuscleTM Cavity continues to maximize the performance for today's more demanding game. The Grain Flow Forged MP-60 is 4% larger and has a 10% larger sweet area when compared to its outstanding Cut Muscle counterpart, the MP-32. The Cut Muscle design in the MP-60 delivers a slightly higher ball flight in the long irons, and a mid trajectory in the scoring irons, while the Cut Muscle design precisely positions the COG in each club for a consistent and predictable ball flight.
The MP-60TM Cut MuscleTM Cavity iron delivers award-winning performance with added FORGIVENESS!
5 Mizuno MP 62 Irons
The MP-62 irons with breakthrough DUAL MUSCLE technology were designed for the player who covets workability and shot making control with forgiveness. Dual Muscle Technology perfectly blends two muscle pads; the outer muscle pad allows for a precisely placed COG that provides an enhanced sweet area for maximum playability, and the inner muscle pad delivers mass behind the impact area for the solid feel and the feedback that better players demand. The classic head profile with the player preferred aesthetics of a thin top line, minimal offset and tour inspired sole design, combined with Grain Flow Forged feel, make the MP-62 irons the perfect weapons to deliver a consistent ball flight and unsurpassed shot making accuracy.

MP-63 360 grind
The design goal of the MP-63 was to take the profile attributes of the Grain Flow Forged MP-62 (head size, top line, offset, sole width) so prolific on the world's tours and create an improvement in both feel and versatility.
Mizuno studied vibration simulations of the head and experimented with several methods of affecting the sound and feel at impact (Harmonic Impact Technology). Numerous new concepts were then blind tested by Mizuno's tour team (including the MP-62's inspiration Luke Donald) and the Diamond Muscle Design, which reinforces the head from heel to toe, was the unanimous winner.
MP-63 Diamond Muscle
The sole of the MP-63 includes the visible 360° grind on the trailing edge for precise turf interaction that delivers complete shot versatility. Mizuno's first ever reverse flow within the set, means the 63's longer irons are larger than the very compact short irons - ensuring a new balance of forgiveness and precision.

7 Mizuno MP 67 Irons
Continuing the award winning success of Cut MuscleTM technology, the Mizuno product development team has developed a new muscle back iron featuring an innovative "Slender" Cut Muscle design. This new Slender Cut MuscleTM allows the player complete ball control by pin-pointing the COG inside the muscle back design. Utilizing our Grain Flow Forging® and Cut MuscleTM technology, the design team was able to provide a neutral COG relative to the shaft axis and a consistent sweet spot location for exact trajectory and distance control. The cambered sole of the MP-67TM allows the player precise shot making capability from all types of lies. The MP-67TM long irons achieve a mid-high trajectory, while the scoring irons deliver a mid trajectory.
The MP-67TM offers unmatched ball control by utilizing a new "Slender" Cut MuscleTM Design to precisely position the COG from iron to iron.
8 Mizuno MP 68 Irons
The MP-68 Blade moves away from the cut muscle design that the MP-67 had and resembles the MP-37 with the muscle back developing from the toe area. The muscle back lines and edges however are smoother on the MP-68 than the MP-37 and some in Japan have said it reminds them of the classic MP-14 with its curved muscle back and sharp toe. Mizuno has also followed suit with its 2009 design guidlines by placing the running bird logo on the sole and the model MP-68 with new MP logo in the toe corner. The 0verall head and face is very compact and coupled with the thick muscle provide the purest feel of any Mizuno grain flow forged blade.
For the last several years pre release Mizuno head only sets have popped up far before the official release date. They look perfect to the untrained eye but when put on the scale the head weights are off and the hosel size often appears to be over or undersized. This has been the unfortunate case for many of Mizuno's MP models in recent years but its a consistent pattern. Right now there are sets on ebay and in certain forums of possible fakes. Im sure if you contact Mizuno they will say these are not Mizuno authorized products. This confuses us because we have been under the impression for many years that Mizuno Irons were made in the Chuo factory in Japan yet the origin of these imposters are Taiwan & Hong Kong.
