The Mizuno MX 950 Forged Irons are one of the finest clubs in a long line of excellent clubs. Designed for mid to high handicap players, the MX 950s have it all--the superior feel that Mizuno is famous for, excellent distance, great loft, spot-on accuracy, and so much forgiveness even Mother Theresa would be impressed.

When it comes to Mizuno's unique and "buttery" feel, it's all the result of their patented Grain Flow Forging process. While some of the older Ben Hogan clubs came close in feel, there's really no rival. And even though Mizuno has never been well known for distance, the MX 950s are even rivals for the Callaway X-Forged.

Also, another feature that Mizuno is well known for is the use of different types of steel in their clubs. The hybrids in the MX 950 irons are forged from 4135 high strength steel for maximum distance, while the shorter irons are forged from mild 1025E carbon steel. If there is a downside to the MX 950s, it's their clunkiness. There not as bad as a set of Callaway "toasters", as some people call them, but they are a little bulky. I have been playing golf 5 years.

I bought my Mizuno MX-950 irons about two years ago and have hit thousands of balls with them and played at least a hundred fifty rounds of golf.I put regular flex Grafalloy blue graphites in them a few have Mizuno Exsar regular flex graphites and ar comparable..

I am 53 years old and hit the ball pretty well. 8 iron 165 pitching wedge 145 and so on.

I was shooting in the 90s pretty regularly.I immediately dropped into the 80s and broke 80 for the first time last year.

I often leave my driver at home and use my 3 hybrid as my driver.People question this for about two tee shots and then want to knw what it is.

I easily hit it 240 and straight as an arrow.

The hybrid style irons are almost impossible to hit badly.They go further than any other I have tried and even miss hits go straight.I would not trade these irons for new golf clubs of any brand.Go get some.You will be thrilled!
